La transmisión del origen y su relación con la donación de gametos
Abstract
Abstract
The following work aims to communicate the results of the research project entitled "The Construction of the Origin in the New Family Settings Crossed by “ART”. It shares the results of interviews that we’ve done to ten professionals specialized in the field of Assisted Reproduction and five homosexual couples and four single mothers by choice who are undergoing or have undergone an assisted reproduction process. It is clarified that they have the particularity of requiring gamete donation.
Specifically, this article has focused on the process of revealing the truth about the origin to their children, taking into account the variables about how and when to reveal that information. The importance of the origin story in the subjective constitution of the child is also considered. The concept of identity linked to truth as a right and as a matter of mental health appears in the development of this work.
Conceptual developments related to identity and family ties were addressed from a psychoanalytic perspective, taking into account the legal framework provided by Law 26,892 and the recent modification of the Civil Code of the Argentine Republic.
KEY WORDS: << gamete donation, subjective constitution., truth., identity, >>.
