Abstract

The aim of this study was to acquaint the levels for anxiety, and academic burnout and engagement in a group of college students from the Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmacy School (National University of San Luis). The instruments used in this study were the MBI-SS, UWES-S-17 and IDARE. The results showed high levels of anxiety, either as a state or as a personality feature; high levels of emotional exhaustion and academic efficacy (academis bournout); and medium levels for academic engagement. It is suggested that this study may be replicated in larger groups, in order to design a workshop of prevention and intervention of stress for college students.
