Disponibilidad de información sobre psicoterapia desde la perspectiva de usuarios/as marplatenses
Abstract
Health information has an impact on the user's decision making and on the quality of the health service provided, so its guarantee by psychologists is essential. The problem of availability covers, in turn, all information obtained outside the psychological assistance service and in advance, and it is necessary to characterize it. This paper will present the results of a research that aimed to know the perspective of users of psychological assistance services in the private sector in the city of Mar del Plata, regarding the availability of information on psychotherapy. The study was exploratory-descriptive, cross-sectional and qualitative; using a self-administered online form to collect data. The sampling was intentional, non purposive with a snowball strategy. At the beginning of the treatment the participants received information on some aspects of informed consent stipulated in the Code of Ethics of the Federation of Psychologists of the Argentine Republic and Law 26.529. Some of the possible inequities in the informative experiences of the users and their preferences are identified, allowing reflection on respect for autonomy, rights and obligations in the health-care relationship.
