Sobre la periodización de la Psicología en Argentina. Veinte años después
Abstract
This study analyzes and revisits, twenty years later, Klappenbach’s (2006) text on “Periodization of Psychology in Argentina.” The review involved three key tasks: a) revisiting the general characterization of the five periods outlined in the original paper This entailed, on the one hand, a partial modification of the denomination of the second and third periods. On the other hand, it involved distinguishing a sixth period beginning approximately in 2004; b) briefly expanding the description of the periods already analyzed based on evidence that has emerged from research over the past 20 years, conducted by researchers from various institutions, and which for that reason were not covered in that text. Thus, this work does not revisit what was already included in those periods in Klappenbach (2006); so, for the five periods studied at that time, this essay can be considered a complement or expansion; c) to characterize as clearly as possible a sixth period in the development of psychology in the country, which began around 2004, a topic that was not part of the original text, as it was written almost contemporaneously with the beginning of that period.
