Gregorio Bermann y la Misión Psiquiátrica Argentina de Neuropsiquiatria
Abstract
This text offers a review of the book Gregorio Bermann and the Argentine Neuropsychiatric Mission in the Spanish Civil War, a volume that forms part of a collective research project aimed at reconstructing the intellectual biography of Gregorio Bermann. The review outlines the structure of the book and its main analytical axes, highlighting its examination of Bermann’s participation in the Spanish Civil War at the intersection of clinical practice, intellectual intervention, and antifascist militancy. It also emphasizes the book’s contributions to the history of psychiatry and to the understanding of the relationships between scientific knowledge, war, and politics, as well as its ability to articulate different scales of analysis and to open new avenues for research.
