The The analysis of Dr. Ellis Toney: a place that persists in psychoanalysis
Abstract
The present work intends to demonstrate that the analytical encounter between R. Greenson and his analyzer, E. Toney, as a structure, persists today. By “psychologizing” political and social inequality, it invalidates the experience of the project. It goes beyond the excuse of “unconscious racism,” in the case of Greenson. This logic is repeated and assumes that all lives matter in the same way, but it is a position that seeks to maintain order. M. Luther King formulates that the biggest obstacle to the liberation of the African-American pueblo is the “moderate white”. This figure is in agreement with the change but in order to maintain the order. The meeting between Toney and Greenson shows that the struggle for equality embodies, first, recognizing inequality.
